Adjusted EBITDA: $23 million Share repurchases: $5 million returned to shareholders 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance increased: $95 - $110 million. “In the near term, we expect second quarter results to increase substantially, with adjusted EBITDA between $24 and $30 million. This performance will be driven by backlog conversion, cost savings, and market share gains. While we are seeing signs of increased industry activity, our current forecast conservatively assumes a flat market. However, with a strong start to the year, we are raising the mid-point of our full year 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance range to $103 million, a 20% percent increase over 2025 results.” More on Forum Energy Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. MoMo Productions/DigitalVision via Getty Images In early January of this year, I decided to rate LCNB Corp. ( LCNB ) a soft "Buy." At the time, the company was attractively priced. On top of this, asset quality had been solid. Since then, however, the picture has changed. Although it's still attractive from a valuation standpoint in some respects, asset quality has deteriorated some. The good news is that we are seeing some improvements in key areas, most notably when it comes to net interest margin. But when you factor in overall asset quality and what that picture looks like, I think an argument could be made that a bit of caution would be justified. Because of this, I think downgrading the stock to a "Hold" is appropriate here. But of course, if new data comes out that justifies upgrading it once again, I will have no problem doing so. Taking another look at LCNB Corp. Probably the best place to start with analyzing LCNB Corp. would be to cover the balance sheet. During the most recent quarter , which would be the first quarter of the 2026 fiscal year, the enterprise reported deposits of $1.84 billion. That essentially matched the $1.84 billion it had in 2025. However, it was unfortunately down from the $1.88 billion that the institution had in 2024. Author - SEC EDGAR Data This is disappointing to say the least. And, unfortunately, a decline in deposits also translated to a drop in loans. The firm ended 2024 with $1.71 billion worth on its books. That number dropped to $1.69 billion in 2025 before dropping further to $1.68 billion in the first quarter of 2026. For context, I do think it is worth pointing out that the loan portfolio that the company has is quite concentrated. $1.09 billion, or about 64.2%, of its loans are held up in commercial loans that are secured by real estate. No other category comes close, with the second closest being the $476.9 million invested in residential real estate. This is followed by a very distant third place in the form of comm...

Mainland Chinese tourists may have come for the tombolo but left with a deeper understanding of Hong Kong’s coral reefs and marine life after the government stepped up promotion and protection efforts on Sharp Island in Sai Kung. That was the view of visitors touring the island on Friday morning, Labour Day – a Hong Kong public holiday and the start of the mainland’s five-day “golden week” break. As of noon, around 300 tourists had arrived on the island, but only a few had entered the water. The...

Earnings Call Insights: Safehold Inc. (SAFE) Q1 2026 Management View "In the first quarter, we closed four transactions, including 3 ground leases and leasehold loan for an aggregate commitment of $68 million," said (President Michael Trachtenberg), adding that the quarter’s originations had "a GLTV of 40%, underwritten rent coverage of 2.9x and an economic yield of 7.2%." "One of our key goals in our multifamily push is to expand our success in the affordable multifamily sector beyond the California market," said (CEO & Chairman Jay Sugarman), highlighting "our first non-California deal closing this quarter" and describing the broader strategy as "leaning hard into meeting our customers' needs with new products and increased outreach." "We also have a developing situation at our 50th Street asset," said (CEO & Chairman Sugarman). "While to date, fixed ground rent has been paid, the tenant has repeatedly failed to pay property taxes as required under the ground lease," and "if we're unable to reach a resolution... we will be forced to exercise our rights under the lease." "For the first quarter, GAAP revenue was $110.9 million, net income was $28.9 million and earnings per share was $0.40," said (Chief Financial Officer Brett Asnas), and added: "In Q1, we utilized approximately $3.4 million for share repurchases at an average share price of $14.39." Outlook "We anticipate most of these transactions will close in the next one to two quarters, but there can be no assurances that they close at all," said (President Trachtenberg) about "approximately $255 million of non-binding LOIs signed." "We began a buyback program at the tail end of last quarter to take advantage of the underpricing in our stock," said (CEO & Chairman Sugarman), while (CFO Asnas) framed balance sheet flexibility: "if we utilize the entire authorization of the moment, the $50 million, that would take leverage up by less than 0.1x." "We've got a trial date coming up early next year" regarding Park Ho...

jaanalisette/iStock Editorial via Getty Images 2026 has been a year of reckoning for tech investors. Hardware stocks are popular, while software stocks have been tossed to the penalty box, reversing conventional tech investing priorities. But the Q1 earnings season is giving the market a good glimpse of the fact that AI will impact different software companies in different ways, and in particular those that deploy consumption-based pricing models that can scale as agentic features are deployed will be clear winners. Twilio ( TWLO ), the communications software platform that provides the messaging and voice backbone for many consumer applications, is a clear example here. Shares shot up ~20% after reporting Q1 results (while direct rival Bandwidth ( BAND ) also enjoyed a similarly strong post-earnings rally). In my view, this is the beginning of a broader upward re-rating for Twilio. Data by YCharts I last wrote a "Buy" article on Twilio in February, when the stock was trading at ~$110 per share. I regret not having higher conviction and bolstering my position when the stock was cheaper. Twilio's post-earnings reaction has taken the stock to above $170. Despite this, I believe Twilio is showcasing a fundamentally improved growth trajectory with its slew of AI deals, justifying an upward re-rating for its still-reasonable valuations. I'm reiterating my "Buy" rating here. As a reminder for investors who are newer to Twilio, here is what I view to be the core bull case drivers for the company: Consumption-based pricing is giving Twilio tremendous expansion potential from within its own customer base. Twilio's messaging product is priced per message, while its voice products are priced by time usage. This should distinguish Twilio cleanly from SaaS companies that price their products on a per-seat basis, and are thus at much greater risk of seat compression as companies pursue layoffs. Improving net retention rates in recent quarters showcases that Twilio customers are i...
