Some investors are skeptical of growth stocks right now, since they tend to be more volatile than broader equities. Given that the market has been a bit shaky of late, they would rather opt for less volatile options. However, for those with a sufficiently long horizon (say, at least five years), it is still worth it to purchase shares of top growth-oriented companies and hold onto them. They may or may not perform well over the next six months, but some are likely to deliver outstanding returns for patient investors. With that said, let's consider two attractive growth stocks that are worth investing $500 in right now: Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) and Veeva Systems (NYSE: VEEV) . Image source: The Motley Fool. While some are still waiting for the artificial intelligence (AI) bubble to burst, Nvidia continues its march forward. The company's shares have climbed 83% over the past 12 months, driven by outstanding financial results and growing demand for its AI chips. During its fiscal year 2026, ending on Jan. 25, Nvidia's revenue increased by 65% year over year to $215.9 billion. The company's earnings per share (EPS) rose 67% to $4.90. Even after crushing equities in recent years, Nvidia could perform well through the end of the decade and beyond. Here are two reasons why. Continue reading

Daniel Grizelj/DigitalVision via Getty Images Since the start of the year, Palantir Technologies Inc. ( PLTR ) has seen its stock down almost 20%. I own the stock, and I have to recognize that it's difficult to keep holding my shares while there are other pockets in the market that are going parabolic (like the rally in memory stocks). Just like Nvidia since the end of last year, the frenzy around Palantir has taken a pause. I think it's because the market is now used to beat-and-raise quarters, coupled with near-perfect execution. Just look below at the P/E multiple compression since last year (by the way, this is not a compliment for a growth stock): Seeking Alpha Heading into the Q1 2026 print, the Street expects once again spectacular results. On revenue, analysts are looking for $1.54B, which is slightly above the high end of management's guidance of $1.532 - $1.536B. In line with the tradition since Q2 2023 , I expect the company to obliterate these expectations. However, the question that really matters for investors like me is whether the stock will eventually go up or not. In the short term, it's difficult to say. In fact, I am still worried about the downward pressure from the SaaSpocalypse narrative. There are other risks that I discuss in this piece, like the slowdown in revenue growth. That said, I remain constructive on Palantir, as I believe the company is one of the few stocks in the U.S. public markets that comes as close as it gets to a pure play on AI. My price target is $200 (i.e., retesting new highs) before year-end. Below, I explain what I want to see in the upcoming earnings release for my price target to materialize. What I'm Watching In The Q1 2026 Earnings Release First (and foremost), I'm closely monitoring the commercial segment to understand the adoption of Palantir's Artificial Intelligence Platform. Last quarter, the U.S. commercial remaining deal value increased 145% YoY and 21% sequentially to $4.38 billion. Palantir That increase s...

JHVEPhoto/iStock Editorial via Getty Images BWX Technologies ( BWXT ) is a nuclear components manufacturer with a monopoly and strong moat centered around naval nuclear programs. BWX is not competing for contracts since it is the only entity licensed to manufacture the enriched fuel for naval assets. I’m initiating coverage with a Buy rating and a price target of $230. Fundamentals are strong, with 2025 bringing record revenue, increased adjusted EBITDA, and a significant year-over-year backlog expansion. This thesis focuses on three segments: Naval Nuclear Monopoly: the core business Defense Fuels: a growth driver supported by domestic strategy Commercial Nuclear Renaissance: the area I think has the most upside. Q4 earnings were reported in February 2026, with Q2 earnings next Monday on 4 May. 2025 revenue was $3.198B with adjusted EBITDA of $574M. FCF was reported at year end at $295M. CEO Rex D. Geveden stated that “…expanded our service and product offerings with two acquisitions and captured significant high-value awards across both Government and Commercial segments, driving 50% backlog growth.” Guidance issued for 2026 was robust growth with expected adjusted EBITDA of $645-660M and FCF between $305-320M. A highlight in the earnings was the discussion around revenue growth. While government operations were slightly lower due to lower naval nuclear procurement, the commercial operations increased across multiple streams. Naval Nuclear Anchoring the business is the Naval Nuclear Program , with BWXT as the sole manufacturer and only licensed entity for the enriched fuel for U.S. nuclear vessels, including submarines and carriers. There is no competition for this segment, creating a structural monopoly and a strong moat protected by regulatory licensing and niche capabilities. In October 2025, BWXT announced a $174 million contract for the manufacture of naval nuclear reactor fuel. In July 2025, BWXT signed a pricing agreement for $2.6 billion for naval nuclear ...
The continued oil supply disruption caused by the Strait of Hormuz closure recently sent crude prices to their highest level since 2022 at nearly $120 a barrel. Several oil market experts are warning that crude prices could eventually top $150 a barrel if the Strait doesn't reopen soon. That would top the prior record of $147 a barrel in 2008. Here's what's fueling those warnings and the energy st...
