Anna Moneymaker | Getty Images President Donald Trump said Sunday that the U.S. will attempt to "free" stranded cargo ships that have been trapped by the Strait of Hormuz closure since the war with Iran began. The effort, which Trump in a Truth Social post dubbed "Project Freedom," is set to begin on Monday. The president said the effort is focused solely on getting civilian ships that are flagged in countries not affiliated with the conflict out of the contested waterway so they can "freely and ably get on with their business." "I have told my Representatives to inform them that we will use best efforts to get their Ships and Crews safely out of the Strait," Trump said. "In all cases, they said they will not be returning until the area becomes safe for navigation, and everything else." Trump provided no details on how the U.S. would attempt to conduct such an operation, nor how U.S. military forces would be involved. It is also unclear whether Iran will allow the U.S. to conduct the operation without interference amid the ongoing conflict, and when the strait will reopen for regular transit. The White House and Department of Defense did not immediately respond to requests for more information. The strait has been largely impassable since the war broke out, stranding cargo vessels and choking off a key supply chain. About 20% of the world's crude oil transits the strait, leading to soaring oil prices and higher gasoline prices in the U.S. Read more CNBC politics coverage Pirro reveals new Trump attack evidence; Cole Allen challenges 'suicide precautions' Bard President Botstein retiring after Jeffrey Epstein ties detailed Trump tells Congress hostilities in Iran 'have terminated' at war powers deadline Lutnick gets grilling on Nvidia chip sales to China in Sen. The director’s immersive Southbank Centre takeover has vim and ardour in spades, if not complete coherence You Are Here is an undertaking on an impressive scale: a self-styled “epic, one-off pop-cultural spectacular” involving immersive theatre, dance, music and a “cast of hundreds”, all directed by Danny Boyle. It takes up a hefty chunk of the Southbank Centre and sets itself a similarly hefty task: “reimagining some of the most vivid and influential youth and social movements that have driven culture forward since 1951”, the year of the Festival of Britain , when the Royal Festival Hall opened for business. “Some of” turns out to be the operative phrase: there’s an awful lot going on, but even so, the sheer enormity of its subject means a degree of selectivity is necessary. Its take on British pop culture takes a noticeably dancefloor-centric view. There’s more about rave than the 60s pop explosion that really shifted the UK out of the postwar doldrums the You Are Here audience first encounters (you wander through an authentically eerie evocation of smog-bound London, its inhabitants literally grey), while New Romantics and Britpop are hard to spot, and the hippy counterculture of the late 60s and early 70s gets very short shrift indeed, unless you count the repurposing of some old west London graffiti that may have been the handiwork of “alternative society” collective the Albion Free State (“THE TIGERS OF WRATH ARE WISER THAN THE HORSES OF INSTRUCTION”). The consensus EPS estimate is $0.22 and the consensus revenue estimate is $968.12M (+13.2% Y/Y). The setup into the print is challenging, with stock down roughly 25% year to date, underperforming the S&P 500's 6% gain over the same period. Investor sentiment has been weighed down by tariff-related pressure on retailer advertising budgets, intensifying competition in AI-driven ad tools, and limited scope for margin expansion. Growth is expected to moderate further. Seeking Alpha analyst sees no signs of inflection in revenue growth at any point in time in the coming quarters. Competitive dynamics remain a key overhang. Larger platforms such as Meta ( META ) and Alphabet ( GOOGL ) grow their advertising revenues faster while maintaining superior margins. Valuation appears compressed, with the stock trading at roughly 11x forward earnings, about 18% below the sector median and 63% below its five-year average. "Until we see a meaningful reacceleration in the company’s top-line growth, I don’t expect a meaningful re-rating in the stock. In other words, Pinterest is likely going to be “dead money” until then," Seeking Alpha analyst Amrita Roy said . Seeking Alpha analyst also downgraded the stock to Sell ahead of the print, citing weak growth visibility, competitive pressures, and lack of clear catalysts for a turnaround. Over the last 2 years, PINS has beaten EPS estimates 50% of the time and has beaten revenue estimates 75% of the time. Over the last 3 months, EPS estimates have seen 0 upward revisions and 8 downward. Revenue estimates have seen 2 upward revisions and 12 downward. Democrats Melt Down After Supreme Court Restricts Race Based Gerrymandering The response from Democrats to the Supreme Court's decision to strike down race-based gerrymandering has been predictable - running high in emotion and devoid of objectivity. The Democrat Party has understood for a long time that much of their power comes from inserting themselves as the spokespeople for the supposed "have-nots". Racial hysteria being a key weapon in their arsenal to push the ongoing socialization of America. Its the reason why left-wing NGO's have been dumping millions of dollars into the very "hate groups" they claim to be fighting against. Leftists need racism as a bogeyman; they have no power without it. It makes sense that Democrats are clinging to Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA), which prohibits voting practices (including redistricting maps) that result in denial or abridgment of the right to vote on account of race. The assumption being that minorities (specifically black Americans) require rigged districts where they are the majority in order to maintain power in government. This obviously benefits Democrats, with around 83% of blacks voting blue in recent elections. Predominantly black districts in states across the US have acted as assured seats in the House for Dems since 1965. In 1982, Congress strengthened Section 2 by amending it to clarify that plaintiffs only need to prove that a voting practice has a discriminatory result (effect), not just the intent. Republicans sided with Democrats in a grand virtue signal, but the results of the strengthened VRA have harmed conservatives ever since. The Supreme Court's recent 6-3 decision in Louisiana v. Callais ends this 45-year-long mistake, at least, for the most part. This is what it looks like to stand up when democracy is on the line! Florida Rep. Angie Nixon disrupted a special session to protest gerrymandering, declaring, “This is a violation of the Constitution.” We must continue to protect the power o...

Antonelli won in Florida after a tight battle with the McLaren of Lando Norris who chased him to the flag but could not get past. The victory is his third in a row and ensures the Italian now leads the world championship from his Mercedes teammate, George Russell, by 20 points, in only his second season in F1. New Zealand infant formula supplier a2 Milk is recalling batches of product sold in the US after detecting the toxin cereulide. Three batches of a2 Platinum USA-label formula have been recalled after manufacturer Synlait Milk Ltd. identified cereulide, a2 said Monday in Wellington. The recall, which began on May 1, impacts just the US and not the company’s most lucrative market in China. The global formula market has been buffeted by concerns over tainted products, which began in January when Nestlé SA discovered bacteria that can cause cereulide — a toxin that can trigger sudden nausea and vomiting — at a factory. Rival producers Danone SA and closely held Groupe Lactalis have also recalled hundreds of batches in dozens of countries. Read more: Babies Are Getting Sick From Formula That Mimics Mother’s Milk A2 said its recall was initiated when cereulide was detected through additional testing by Synlait after New Zealand’s Ministry for Primary Industries released new guidelines in mid-April. The probable source of cereulide is an ingredient in the affected product, it said. The recall is in relation to a relatively small quantity of three batches comprising 63,078 tins of which an estimated 16,428 tins were sold to consumers, the company said. Importation rights ended on Dec. 31 last year and the product was discontinued and removed from sale prior to the recall. No confirmed incidents of infant illness or harm have been reported, it said. Last month, a2 lowered its revenue and earnings guidance, citing supply chain disruptions — partly linked to the Iran war — that have slowed shipments to China.
