Tarcisio Schnaider/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Two weeks or so ago, Norsk Hydro ( NHYDY ) published its full-year results. These results will now, as of this article, be included in my estimates and in my thesis for the company. As the title to this article implies, Norsk Hydro may have reached an inflection point wherein holding onto the company in light of its valuation may not be something you want to do. This is especially true for someone who has seen significant returns from such an investment and who has a significant (over 3%) position in the company. I am such an investor at this time, as I have pointed out in previous articles for the company. The last one of these articles can be found here . Hydro, alongside other aluminum producers, has had a very good year/years. The upswing we're seeing for the Norwegian-based company here is reflected in a general upswing in the aluminum and basic materials sector. I have covered some of it in companies such as Kaiser ( KALU ), but it also has correlations to the high valuation for companies such as general metal companies, such as Boliden as well. It's fair, therefore, to call it more of a "general trend" than anything else. I spend a lot of time researching commodity and metal cycles. I follow especially those metals that I personally invest in, such as aluminum. In 2025-2026, and going forward, the aluminum industry has entered a very interesting trend, leading to the question of when the company would be considered "too expensive." The tricky part about this is that it has to do with the overall outlook for aluminum. I foresaw this about 2-3 years ago, when there was a forecast/notion of a deficit in the event of some legacy smelters closing . While not all of that negative/bearish has happened, what has happened is that additional demand has been building, and supply constraints are higher than before. This is driving demand—and this is driving 2026E estimates for this company. Let's see what we have here....

Modern Warfare Sees First Drone Strike On A Commercial Data Center We told readers one month ago that, while trillions of dollars are being allocated to the global data center buildout, virtually every Wall Street analyst remains fixated on financing, chip stacks, power, land, water, and other obvious mainstream inputs. However, we identified one overlooked emerging threat they missed: the risk of kamikaze drone attacks. By Sunday morning, that risk was realized, as our note pointed out that Amazon's cloud unit, AWS, experienced degraded service in the United Arab Emirates due to a " localized power issue ." Now, a Reuters report provides more color on what exactly happened after an AWS data center in the UAE had to shut down operations, in what appears to be the first known instance of a commercial data center being physically targeted in a conflict . Reuters reports that an object struck an AWS data center in the UAE, causing a fire and shutting it down. Assuming this was an Iranian drone strike, it is the first time a commercial data center was physically targeted in a conflict. It won’t be the last. https://t.co/4b7DHklwoU — Chris McGuire (@ChrisRMcGuire) March 1, 2026 UAE Data Center Map The first commercial data center to be damaged on the modern battlefield is certainly not going to be the last, as the Ukraine war has created a period of rapid weapon development over the last four years, as well as in other conflict areas around the world, with the proliferation of FPVs and cheap drones with warheads and AI kill chains. This threat was outlined in our note titled "Explosion In AI Data Center Buildouts Will Demand Next-Gen Counter-Drone Security," as we recognized that the rapid development in this war technology has effectively accelerated war tech from the 2030s to today ( read here ). There were absolutely no Wall Street analysts we read on a daily basis discussing this emerging drone threat to data centers as the great buildout unfolded. Analysts were too ...

watch now VIDEO 7:45 07:45 'Big Short' investor Steve Eisman: The Iranian regime is a death cult Squawk Box Steve Eisman of "The Big Short" fame said investors should ignore the U.S.-Iran war as it could be a long-term positive for markets. In fact, when the investor was asked Monday by CNBC's Joe Kernen on "Squawk Box" whether he would change anything because of the conflict, he responded with, "Not a single trade." "I think long term, this is very, very positive," Eisman said. "People react because of what's happening, oil prices are obviously up. But if it goes well, two months from now, prices will be back to where they were." The stock market was in turmoil Monday after the U.S. in a joint attack with Israel attacked Iran over the weekend and killed the country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a strike that triggered retaliatory attacks from Tehran. Historically, geopolitical conflicts have little lasting effect on stocks . In data going back to 1980, the S&P 500 on average is unchanged the day after such an event, according to Barclays' trading desk. Studies show stocks tend to recover within a month after the start of a conflict. But sharply higher oil prices, and the potential for the conflict to spread across the region, could pressure the stock market for longer this time. Stocks were already close to record highs ahead of the conflict, but the pace of the bull market had begun to slow on concerns about AI's overall impact on the economy. In expressing his own views on the conflict, "The Real Eisman Playbook" podcast host and former Neuberger Berman money manager said he's supportive of Trump's actions against a regime he called a "death cult." However, he also acknowledged the conflict may take longer than expected. "This is going to take time," he said.

Scott Nelson/Getty Images News The United States launched a broad assault on Iranian targets Saturday, deploying a mix of long-range cruise missiles, advanced fighter aircraft and, for the first time in combat, inexpensive one-way attack drones patterned after Iranian models. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) commenced Operation Epic Fury, Feb. 28 (U.S. Central Command) U.S. Central Command released images of Tomahawk missiles along with F/A-18 and F-35 fighter jets, detailing the operation, dubbed “Operation Epic Fury,” which targeted Iranian military assets. Artificial intelligence The Pentagon incorporated artificial intelligence technology from Anthropic, including its Claude platform, during the operation, Reuters reported, citing a person familiar with the matter. It wasn’t immediately clear how the AI tools were used. The disclosure comes shortly after the U.S. government designated Anthropic a supply chain risk, signaling potential national security concerns. President Donald Trump on Friday directed federal agencies to halt work with the startup. Anthropic’s systems have previously been adopted across U.S. intelligence and defense agencies. The company was among the first AI developers to handle classified information under a cloud-based arrangement with Amazon ( AMZN ). Bombers As part of the escalation, the Pentagon dispatched B-2 stealth bombers from the United States to strike fortified, underground Iranian missile facilities using 2,000-pound bombs. The B-2 Spirit, built by Northrop Grumman ( NOC ) at a cost of roughly $2 billion per aircraft, is designed to evade radar and penetrate heavily defended airspace. With a wingspan of 172 feet, the bomber can travel about 6,000 nautical miles without refueling, though most missions involve multiple aerial refuelings. The aircraft previously carried out strikes on Iranian nuclear infrastructure last June. Drones CENTCOM said it deployed one-way attack drones resembling the LUCAS system, or Low-Cost Unmanned Comb...
