NiseriN/iStock via Getty Images Intro After completing my analysis of the brand new NEOS MLP & Energy Infrastructure High Income ETF ( MLPI ), I decided to examine some additional names in the energy infrastructure sector. My main purpose is to find at or above 7% yielding companies or ETFs with sustainable payouts. The sector where such high yields are fairly common — and where payouts are often well covered by cash flows and supported by strong financials — is the energy infrastructure midstream sector. I think my other article, where I compared the midstream players Plains All American ( PAA ) and USA Compression ( USAC ), provided a great summary for readers who aren’t familiar with the midstream sector: For those unfamiliar with midstream companies: put simply, they provide the critical infrastructure that connects the upstream side of the energy ecosystem (oil and gas producers like Exxon and Chevron) with downstream demand — refiners, utilities supplying power as well as the rapidly growing electricity needs of AI data centers, petrochemical plants producing plastics and chemicals, industrial manufacturers such as fertilizer and steel producers, and oil and LNG export terminals. Midstream firms move oil and natural gas through the pipelines and related infrastructure they own, earning fees based on the volumes transported. They also offer additional services such as gas processing, NGL fractionation, terminal logistics, and the increasingly important management of produced water. Midstreams are generally well‑suited for generating income, similar in principle to REITs, and they also tend to have relatively low correlation with major equity indexes, making them useful for risk reduction through diversification in portfolios. My favorite pick in the sector is the Alerian MLP ETF ( AMLP ), which I previously covered here . This fund provides exposure to nearly all major publicly traded midstream companies. As a rules-based, passively managed fund, it rarely unde...

In this article, I’m going to review the earnings report and attempt to weave in how this latest information situates into my prior thesis on CoreWeave , as well as offer my thoughts on what I think investors should do going forward. In short, while I think the magnitude of the reaction today is directionally correct (20%+ drop on the day), I think the pain ahead is only likely to continue for CoreWeave shareholders. How Management Presents the Quarterly Results From the earnings press release , this is how management would like you to think of their quarter: Source: Press Release The thing I would highlight is that this is basically all qualitative information that is presented in a highly suggestible way making it fodder for any sort of bullish narrative one might want to fit onto it. There’s very little in the way of quantitative data woven together in such a way that presents a clear picture of how the business is actually generating value for shareholders. And, to foreshadow the story to come, that is because, I would submit, there is no actual value for shareholders being generated here – precisely the opposite in fact. Elsewhere, management does highlight that “we became the fastest cloud in history to reach $5 billion in annual revenue,” and that “Our revenue backlog grew to $66.8 billion, more than four times where we began the year.” It is good to see something in the way of actual quantitative measures here. But, as we’ll see, rapidly scaling revenues doesn’t mean much if you don’t have operating leverage or any foreseeable future path to operating leverage. When we do look at management’s attempts to quantify the business’s performance, we see a number of what, I would argue, are misleading metrics, mostly “adjusted” numbers of one sort or another. This one is my favorit...

Watch: DSNY Heads Supplicate To Allah With Mayor Mamdani In Coercive Islamic Ritual Authored by Steve Watson via Modernity.news, New York City’s sanitation leadership has been caught on camera participating in an Islamic supplication ritual led by Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a move critics slam as a blatant push toward Islamification. The scene, captured during a gathering with officers, shows DSNY brass raising hands in dua—a form of prayer to Allah—before wiping them over their faces as instructed in Islamic hadith, all prior to sharing a meal. While some mistakenly reported those involved as being NYPD, their core point is still salient. Why are the leaders of the DSNY engaging in such behaviour? New York City’s sanitation leadership has been caught on camera participating in an Islamic supplication ritual led by Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a move critics slam as a blatant push toward Islamification. ISLAMIFICATION: NYPD leaders supplicate to Allah in what is called a duʿāʾ prior to a communal meals with Mayor Zohran Mamdani and rank and file officers. The coercive effect of such rituals cannot be overstated.
