SpaceX is targeting filing confidentially for an initial public offering as soon as next month, according to people familiar with the matter, as billionaire Elon Musk ’s rocket and satellite company moves forward with plans for the biggest-ever listing. The Starbase, Texas-based firm expects to submit its draft IPO registration to the US Securities and Exchange Commission in March, the people said. Such a move would keep it on track for a June listing, making it the first of what could be a trio of mega-IPOs, with OpenAI and Anthropic PBC potentially coming after. Considerations are ongoing, details could change and SpaceX could still delay its filing, the people said. SpaceX could seek a valuation in the IPO of more than $1.75 trillion, some of the people said, asking not to be identified as the deliberations are private. It acquired Musk’s artificial intelligence startup xAI in a February deal that valued the enlarged entity at $1.25 trillion, Bloomberg News has reported. A representative for SpaceX didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. A listing for SpaceX would raise as much as $50 billion, people familiar with the preparations have said. At that size, it would be larger than the current record holder, Saudi Aramco ’s $29 billion debut in 2019. At a $1.75 trillion market value, SpaceX would be bigger than all but five of the companies in the S&P 500 Index — Nvidia Corp. , Apple Inc. , Alphabet Inc. , Microsoft Corp. and Amazon.com Inc. It would be larger by that metric than Meta Platforms Inc. , as well as Musk’s own Tesla Inc. Satellite TV and wireless provider EchoStar Corp. has a stake in SpaceX as the result of wireless spectrum sales last year to Musk’s firm. EchoStar shares surged as much as 10% on Friday, the most since December. In a me...

Trump: "Maybe We'll Have A Friendly Takeover Of Cuba" President Trump told reporters on Friday afternoon that the U.S. could pursue a " friendly takeover " of Cuba, a comment from the president that comes as his administration moves to secure the Western Hemisphere and intensifies pressure on the communist regime in Havana through a crude-oil blockade . "The Cuban government is talking with us. They're in a big deal of trouble, as you know. They have no money, no anything right now, but they're talking with us, Trump told reporters on the White House lawn. "Maybe we'll have a friendly takeover of Cuba. Trump repeated, "We could very well end up having a friendly takeover of Cuba." He continued, "After many, many years, we have had a lot of years of dealing with Cuba. I've been hearing about Cuba since I was a little boy. But they're in big trouble. And something very well - and something positive could happen." There are reports that the Cuban government has between six and seven weeks of fuel left before a major power blackout, and what could only be described as a total economic collapse unfolds. One of the most interesting stories this week was about a Florida-registered speedboat carrying 10 Cuban nationals residing in the U.S., which entered Cuban territorial waters armed with assault rifles, body armor, improvised explosive devices, camouflage uniforms, and telescopic sights, in what the government says was a "foiled armed inf...

hirun/iStock via Getty Images Investment Outlook Consensus Cloud Solutions ( CCSI ) recently reported its Q4 2025 financial results , beating revenue and earnings estimates. I previously analyzed CCSI in September 2023 with a Hold outlook due to slow client decision-making. The company is executing on a transition away from its SoHo segment and focusing on its Corporate, Federal, and AI initiatives. Managing such a major shift is frequently a recipe for a prolonged period of treading water, and I remain in a ‘wait-and-see’ mode for evidence of net new growth. So, my outlook remains a neutral Hold. Consensus’ Market And Approach Consensus Cloud Solutions provides a range of data exchange and interoperability technology services to companies in various regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, finance, legal, manufacturing, and real estate. CCSI was spun off from J2 Global in 2021 as part of its effort to divide into Ziff Davis and CCSI. Company CEO Scott Turicchi was previously J2 Global's president and held a Managing Director position at the investment banking firm DLJ. CCSI's primary offerings include: Artificial Intelligence Clinical Documentation HIPAA Compliance Natural Language Processing Interoperability eSignatures Cloud Fax The firm is shifting its focus away from legacy eFax services and towards information exchange solutions for both structured and unstructured applications. It has integrated generative AI technologies to help advance its transition. The company is also focusing more on medium and large enterprises and deemphasizing its small and home office segment. Ryan Fletcher/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Boeing (NYSE: BA ) is entering 2026 with a lot of momentum driven by strong airplane order inflow in 2025 and annualized effects of production rate increases. However, the company can no longer count on a strong delivery flow from inventory, and therefore in-year production rate increases are going to be extremely important to the company’s delivery numbers. Since my last report , in which I discussed Boeing’s Q4 earnings , Boeing stock has declined by 4.2%, underperforming the market. With earnings that failed to impress, I don’t think the share price decline is surprising. In this report, I discuss Boeing’s January orders and deliveries, as improvement in delivery stability at a higher level compared to last year is the prerequisite for improved financial performance. Boeing Receives 737 MAX Orders and Big Delta 787 Order For this report, I'm using a tool developed by The Aerospace Forum to visualize airplane orders, deliveries, cancellations, and associated values. The Aerospace Forum In January, Boeing booked 107 orders compared to 175 orders booked in December 2025 . The order inflow consisted of 73 single-aisle airplanes and 34 wide-body airplanes with a combined value of $9.2 billion: Air India ordered 20 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes. Aviation Capital Group ordered 50 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes. Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) ordered 30 Boeing 787-10 airplanes. EVA Air ordered four Boeing 787-9 airplanes. TUI ordered one Boeing 737 MAX. During the month, the following changes were made to the order book: Air India was identified as the customer for 10 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes. Malaysia Airlines was identified as the customer for 30 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes American Airlines ( AAL ) was identified as the customer for one Boeing 737 MAX. CDB Leasing was identified as the customer for one Boeing 737 MAX. Southwest Airlines was identified as the customer for one Boeing 737 MAX. Air Europa cancelled an order for one Boeing 737 MA...

James O'Neil/DigitalVision via Getty Images Since I last wrote about part-nuclear energy utility Duke Energy Corporation ( DUK ) in September last year, its price is up by only 5.3%. Even YTD, while the stock has done better, with a little over a 10% increase, it's just at par with the rise in State Street Utilities Select Sector SPDR ETF ( XLU ). Price Returns (YTD): DUK and XLU (Source: Seeking Alpha) I do believe that the case for a further uptick in DUK just got stronger, though. The company is developing its nuclear energy capacity further, which can hold the stock price in good stead over the longer term and possibly even in the short term. Here, I discuss these developments and assess whether the rest of the Duke Energy story supports further price uptick. Expanding Nuclear Energy Capacity The company plans to expand its capacity by 1 GW by 2031 , with additions to multiple energy segments. Of these, nuclear is expected to contribute some 25% increase, but the biggest rise is planned for gas, which will bring in 67% of the increase. In terms of the details of nuclear energy development, some initial progress related to small modular reactors (SMRs) is particularly heartening. With their relative cost-effectiveness, smaller build time, and better safety than traditional reactors, SMRs are speculatively considered the future of nuclear energy. While the technology isn't commercially proven yet, if the company dips its toes into the segment now, it could be ready to reap the benefits if and when it becomes viable. The developments related to SMRs are as follows: Permit Requested For SMR Site The company recently submitted an early site permit (ESP) for an SMR at Belews Creek in North Carolina to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. If it receives the permit, licensing and construction can be a smoother process. While the company doesn't commit to this development, if it does so, the site will already have an environmental clearance. It will also add 600 MW of nucl...
