'I Did Not Have Relations With That Man, Jeffrey Epstein': Bill Clinton Tries Ol' Lewinsky Trick On American Public Former President Bill Clinton on Friday told lawmakers that he had no clue about crimes carried out by Jeffrey Epstein , the late sex offender who visited the Clinton White House at least 17 times while Bill was president, before letting Clinton fly on the 'Lolita Express' dozens of times. "I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong," Clinton said in a statement prepared for a closed-door deposition in Chappaqua, New York. "I know what I saw, and more importantly, what I didn’t see." Bill Clinton swears he never knew. pic.twitter.com/B2QxiuG2X4 — Paul Sperry (@paulsperry_) February 27, 2026 "My brief acquaintance with Epstein ended years before his crimes came to light, and ... I never witnessed during our limited interactions any indication of what was truly going on," said the 79-year-old former president, adding " I had no idea of the crimes Epstein was committing. " Which is weird, because Epstein had a picture of Clinton in a blue 'Monica Lewinsky' dress and red pedo club shoes on his wall... Clinton became the first former president forced to testify to Congress - and did so just one day after his wife, Hillary Clinton, testified before the same panel. While Clinton was interviewed in a closed-door session, the GOP chairman of the committee, James Comer, said they would be asking Bill about trips he took on Epstein's plane, and the White House visits Epstein made while Clinton was president. Another GOP lawmaker on the panel, Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina, said that Clinton would be "thoroughly asked" about pictures of him featured in the Epstein files - including one of him soaking in a jacuzzi, and another of him swimming with Ghislaine Maxwell . According to the Epoch Times , an FBI document stated that a person whose name was redacted and was not an Epstein victim reported that she was invited to an orgy with Clinton, but did not attend . Earnings Call Insights: Northwest Natural Holding Company (NWN) Q4 2025 Management View CEO Justin Palfreyman highlighted, "We delivered record adjusted earnings per share at the top of our guidance range, deployed a record amount of capital to support our customers and reported our strongest organic customer growth in nearly 2 decades." He noted the company is "excited to announce our new MX3 storage expansion project in the Pacific Northwest, a project that will enhance regional reliability and capacity and one that has the potential to drive our long-term earnings growth target to 5% to 7% once we receive notice to proceed." Palfreyman addressed regulatory progress: "We successfully settled our Oregon rate case in 2025 with new rates effective October 31. In Washington, I'm pleased to report that we've been working collaboratively and productively with parties and have reached settlement in principle, resolving the revenue requirement in the case." The CEO emphasized the integration and growth of Texas assets: "SiEnergy provided 18% organic customer growth in 2025 and contributed 11% of our consolidated adjusted earnings per share. At the same time, SiEnergy posted a sizable increase to its customer backlog nearing 250,000 future meters." Palfreyman stated on the water segment, "The Water segment outperformed our expectations, contributing $0.35 per share or 12% of our consolidated adjusted earnings per share in 2025." CFO Raymond Kaszuba said, "For the full year 2025, we reported record adjusted earnings per share of $2.93 compared to $2.33 per share for 2024. Earnings growth was fueled by new rates in Oregon, healthy rate base growth across the business and continued strong organic customer growth." Kaszuba added, "For 2026 specifically, we expect another record year for both capital investment and earnings. At the same time, we are focused on returning capital to shareholders." Outlook The company is initiating 2026 earnings per share guidance of $2.95 to $3.1...

franckreporter/iStock via Getty Images Last year, we saw the broader market averages drop into a bear market over a roughly seven-week period from Feb. 19, when President Donald Trump first introduced his tariffs to the world, to April 8, when we finally hit bottom: Data by YCharts And though the markets eventually recovered and went on to new all-time highs, imagine how much better off you would have been if you had prepared for bigger drops, even after the early days of last year's pullback. Well, you can get that in one equity CEF that may fall in the early stages of a bear market, but once its S&P 500 put options kick in after a roughly -3% fall, the fund's NAV will hold up like a champ. And that fund is the Eaton Vance Risk Managed Diversified Equity Income CEF ( ETJ ), $8.77 current market price . Now, the first thing to know about ETJ is that it's certainly not a bull market fund, but unlike inverse ETFs, ETJ will go UP in a bull market, though it will not capture 100% of the upside. But that's why I say you have to look at ETJ as more of a high-yield bond fund without the risk of holding high-yield bonds in a bear market. What do I mean by that? If you go back to 2008 during the last financial crisis, heavily leveraged fixed-income CEFs fell anywhere from -30% to -40% , just as much as equity CEFs. So don't think being in fixed-income bond funds during a bear stock market will save you. But there was one fund back in 2008 that owned nothing but stocks and actually gained +6.3% vs. -36.8% for the S&P 500 ( SPY ), $689.30 current market price . And that CEF was ETJ: Data by YCharts So how did ETJ do it? Well, market prices in CEFs are established by shareholders buying and selling, so a CEF's market price can actually go much higher or much lower than its NAV. And in volatile markets, you can often see CEFs make dramatic moves at market price even if their NAVs aren't moving much at all. And that's what you can get in ETJ. I have no control over ETJ's market p...

The US military mistakenly shot down a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) drone near the Mexican border in a strike that reportedly used a laser-based anti-drone system. The CBP uses drones to track people crossing the border. "Congressional aides told Reuters the Pentagon used the high-energy laser system to shoot down a Customs and Border Protection drone near the Mexican border, in an area that often has incursions from Mexican drones used by drug cartels," Reuters reported last night. The FAA closed some airspace along the border with Mexico in Fort Hancock, Texas, on Thursday with a notice announcing temporary flight restrictions for special security reasons. The restrictions are in place until June 24 but could be lifted earlier. There are conflicting reports on which day the strike happened, with The New York Times reporting that the strike occurred Thursday and Bloomberg writing that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) “was notified Wednesday after the event occurred.” Read full article Comments

Delivery man pulling hand truck of cardboard boxes Klaus Vedfelt/DigitalVision via Getty Images Yesterday, GigaCloud Technology Inc. ( GCT ) released its fourth quarter earnings . The release handily beat estimates on both revenue and earnings per share (EPS). Revenue increased 22% year over year, marking considerable acceleration over the rather disappointing third quarter. EPS increased $24.2%, also at an accelerating rate. The company’s first quarter revenue guidance ($330 to $350 million) was also well ahead of estimates . Broadly, GigaCloud’s fourth quarter earnings release reaffirmed the company’s story, one of a small monopoly provider of a high-growth service in a very young market. As recently as 2024, investors were describing GCT as a high growth company propelled forward by network effects and a strong industry niche. That was the prevailing narrative on GCT for some time. However, the company’s reputation took a hit last year when, following Donald Trump’s April tariff announcements, it put out an earnings release that showed a reversal of its previous high-growth ways. In the second quarter of 2025, GCT’s revenue growth slowed down to 3.8%. Earnings growth in that quarter remained high, but the third quarter release showed an 8.6% decrease in earnings on 9.7% revenue growth . The two quarters combined painted a picture of a company undergoing significant deceleration. Predictably, investors started selling off GigaCloud stock, fearing that the company’s apparent downturn marked the beginning of a new long term trend. GigaCloud’s just-reported earnings apparently put those fears to rest, as GCT stock rallied an impressive 33% in a single trading day after the release came out. Not only did the stock rise, it gained momentum throughout the trading day, coming out of the gate up 18% at open, finally finishing the day up 33%. By the end of the day, investors had fully digested the bullish info they had read and understood that they had a rare wealth-buildi...

imaginima/iStock via Getty Images American Electric Power ( AEP ) +1.3% in Friday's trading as UBS upgraded shares to Neutral from Sell with a $132 price target, raised from $115, saying the utility looks well positioned for higher EPS growth of 8%-9% through 2030, compared to last year's 7% midpoint projection. AEP ( AEP ) holds the largest backlog of major load contracts at 56 GW and boasts the largest transmission network, supporting its growth potential, while also benefiting from improved regulatory tools in Ohio and Texas, which could start to deliver a 40-50 bp increase in earned return on equity, UBS analyst William Appicelli wrote. However, further efforts are needed to fully leverage large load contracts and enhance ROEs, the analyst said, and while he remains cautious about whether management can deliver the promised substantial load growth, the increased capital expenditure and the fact that investors will not have confirmation of the load growth guidance for several years make the risk profile more balanced over the next year. Currently trading at a ~4% premium to the bank's new 2028 estimate, Appicelli said he sees AEP ( AEP ) shares as fairly valued, reflecting both the expected outcomes and pricing in 8% EPS growth consistent with his forecast. One Punch/iStock via Getty Images I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth, and PRA Group’s ( PRAA ) better-than-expected fourth-quarter results were certainly welcome after another bout of meaningful weakness in the share price. Double-digit growth in revenue and cash collections were both positive, as was a year-over-year improvement in cash efficiency, but significant performance gaps remain, and management must find ways to improve key yield metrics to drive a sustained recovery in the share price. As of Friday morning, PRA Group shares are down about 7% since my last update, with a major post-earnings move helping counter a steep decline in late January. Rival Encore Capital ( ECPG ) has done considerably better over that period, and the discrepancy between these two companies across multiple metrics remains stark. The bull argument for PRA Group remains that there is a pool of assets here that can be managed better and generate substantially higher financial returns, and when those improvements come through, they should drive a substantial rerating. The main bearish counterpoint remains the fact that it really is not a “when” and is very much an “if”—there are no guarantees that the new CEO and the latest operational restructuring will meaningfully close what has been a growing operational gap with Encore over several years. A Stronger Fourth Quarter Helps The Turnaround Thesis I’ll go into the drivers of PRA Group’s current predicament a little later, but suffice it for now to say that the issues here cannot and will not be fixed in a matter of quarters. Even so, good results are good results, and fourth-quarter performance should improve sentiment and confidence around the near-term trajectory of the business. Revenue rose about 15% this quarter, beating expectations by about 13%. Portfolio income (the more reliable revenue driver and the one more tied to core operating performance) rose more than 14%, while expected recoveries rose 16%, helped by 14% growth i...
