Electric bike and scooter rental startup Lime filed for an initial public offering, showing growing revenue and an expanding user base. The company, which is incorporated as Neutron Holdings Inc. and backed by Uber Technologies Inc. , had a net loss of $59.3 million on revenue of $886.7 million in 2025, compared to a net loss of $33.9 million on $686.6 million of revenue a year earlier, according to its filing Friday with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Lime was previously valued at $510 million in 2020, when Uber led an investment round in the company with participation from Alphabet Inc. ’s Google Ventures and Bain Capital Ventures. The figure was a sharp drop from 2019, when a funding round valued Lime at $2.4 billion. The San Francisco-based micromobility firm was founded in 2017 and offers short-term electric bike and scooter rentals in more than 230 cities . It first floated IPO plans back in 2021. The union said that it was prepared to proceed with the planned general strike if it was dissatisfied with the outcome of the mediation, the report added . Samsung did not immediately respond to Seeking Alpha's request for comment. The workers plan to strike for 18 days from May 21 if their demands are not met. Among the grievances is what the workers call a massive gap in bonus pay with rival chipmaker SK hynix ( HXSCL ). Last month, thousands of Samsung workers rallied at a factory complex south of Seoul over compensation levels. Negotiators from the union, management, and the government met on Friday, with Labour Ministry officials vowing "full support" for talks between the two sides, according to the union, the report noted. Earlier this week, Samsung's Board Chairman Shin Je-yoon urged unionized workers to resolve pay disputes with management, warning that a planned strike could hurt investors and staff and have "serious consequences" for the Korean economy. SK hynix and compatriot Samsung are among the world's largest memory chipmakers. SK hynix is a major supplier of high-bandwidth memory, or HBM, chips to Nvidia ( NVDA ). "Thermal Event" Triggers Service Disruptions At Amazon AWS Cloud Hub In Northern Virginia Amazon Web Services said that recovery efforts are still underway after a " loss of power during a thermal event " disrupted a Northern Virginia data center on Thursday evening. " Mitigation efforts remain underway to resolve the impaired EC2 instances and degraded EBS volumes in a single Availability Zone (use1-az4) in the US-EAST-1 Region," AWS wrote on its Service Health page , indicating that its operational issue for "Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (N. Virginia)" remained "impacted" as of early Friday morning . AWS shifted traffic away from the affected zone for most services and told customers to use other Availability Zones in US-EAST-1, noting that data centers in other zones were unaffected. " The work to bring additional cooling system capacity online , which will enable us to recover the remaining affected infrastructure in a controlled and safe manner, is taking longer than we had initially anticipated," AWS stated. The AWS disruption in Northern Virginia caused Coinbase's services to be affected overnight. On May 7th Coinbase experienced service disruptions. While the war is likely to remain the key driver for markets, investors will still parse Friday’s payrolls data carefully to get a read on the health of the labor market. Economists expect another positive print, with 65,000 jobs added, which would mark the first consecutive gain since May last year. “If the US labor market continues to hold up contrary to many expectations at the beginning of the year, at some point, in our view, there would have to be some probability of a hike being priced into the US curve,” said Fredrik Repton , a senior portfolio manager at Neuberger Berman. Longer term US yields also slipped back after breaking above 5% on the 30-year tenor this week, as investors locked in rates trading around multi-year highs.
