China warned it will take “all necessary measures” if the US uses a probe into a 2020 trade deal to impose fresh tariffs, after Washington signaled the investigation would continue. In a Wednesday statement responding to comments by US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer , China’s Commerce Ministry said Beijing has honored the Phase One agreement despite the pandemic disruption, and has complied with pledges it made on intellectual property and the opening of financial and agricultural markets. It also accused the US of undermining implementation by tightening export controls, restricting two-way investment and expanding other curbs that it said obstruct normal trade and investment, adding that a 2025 white paper set out its case. “If the US insists on pushing forward with relevant investigations, or even uses the investigation as a pretext to introduce restrictive measures such as tariffs, China will take all necessary measures to resolutely defend its legitimate rights and interests,” the ministry said. The exchange injects some uncertainty into bilateral ties just weeks before Donald Trump is set to visit Beijing, the first trip by an American president since his last visit in 2017. It comes soon after the Supreme Court invalidated his broad emergency tariffs, eliminating Trump’s second-term levies on China and leaving Beijing facing a lower fee than applied to US allies. Greer said the administration can pursue duties under a legal provision known as Section 301 and other statutes after the ruling, and the USTR opened its Phase One compliance investigation in October 2025. The Commerce Ministry urged Washington to assess the deal “objectively and rationally” and avoid shifting blame, saying it wants to use the consultation mechanism to focus on existing consensus and look to the future.

The MagicPad 4 has a slightly smaller 12.3-inch screen than its 13.3-inch predecessor. But that's a minor trade-off given the new tablet now uses a 165Hz OLED display instead of LCD. Its battery is, not surprisingly, also a bit smaller at 10,100mAh, and while Honor hasn't shared ba … Read the full story at The Verge.

Novo Nordisk was the first company to make a GLP-1 drug for weight loss and became Europe's most valuable company . But its troubles are stacking up and today the stock trades at just a quarter of what it did at its peak less than two years ago. Pricing pressure, fierce competition, and pipeline setbacks have all hit the Danish drugmaker in recent months. Despite being first to launch a GLP-1 drug for weight loss, Novo's market share has eroded, and the company now only captures about 40% of the market, while rival Eli Lilly holds 60%, according to most estimates. Novo is clear-eyed about the challenges it faces, especially around pricing. After the company pre-released its 2026 forecast earlier this month and predicted declining sales, CEO Mike Doustdar told CNBC: "People should expect that it goes down before it comes back up." He's repeatedly said that new medicines, the Wegovy pill, and increased volumes will drive long-term growth. These charts show the scale of the challenges Novo is facing. Novo Nordisk is often referred to as a diabetes and obesity pure play. Its portfolio included six branded drugs with annual sales of at least $1 billion in 2025, fewer than comparable current and future rivals. Eli Lilly boasts eight so-called blockbuster drugs, and its portfolio also includes oncology and gene therapies. The combined sales of Ozempic and Wegovy, Novo's two biggest drugs, amounted to about $32 billion, or about 67% of total sales, last year. Combined sales of Lilly's two biggest drugs, Mounjaro and Zepbound, were about $37 billion, or about 56% of the company's total sales over the same period. Novo also sells insulin, including blockbusters Tresiba and NovoRapid, as well as some drugs for rare diseases like hemophilia, but none come close to bringing in what its GLP-1 drugs do. Among large-cap pharma companies hoping to enter the market for weight loss drugs in the coming years, such as AstraZeneca , Roche , Amgen , and Pfizer , through its acquisition of...

Kesu01/iStock via Getty Images Utz Brands ( UTZ ) is a Midwestern company that recently bought additional distribution routes in California. This company already sells its snacks, such as Boulder Canyon potato chips and On the Border chips and salsa, in California. Now, it’s planning to invest in expanded operations in California and sell more salty snacks there. And it appears that investors don’t like this decision, so they sold this company’s stock after the deal was announced in the Q3 report and then sold it again after the Q4 report came out. I think these sell-offs were unjustified. In Q4 2025 , Utz reported that its revenue rose 0.4% to $342.2 million, which was a miss. As for its bottom-line performance, Utz’s results were impacted by its acquisition of the California distribution routes, so I think it’s appropriate to use its adjusted results here. This company has also been reducing its costs, and as a result of its efficiency initiatives, its adjusted gross margin rose 560 basis points to 36.5%. The company also reported higher SG&A expenses because it’s investing in expansion right now, but its adjusted net income still rose from $32.4 million to $37.6 million. I think that investors are making a mistake here and that Utz Brands is very undervalued now. This company’s Boulder Canyon and On the Border snacks are already popular in California, and if its Zapp’s chips were more widely available there, they’d probably be popular too. So, while the company is taking a risk by taking on additional debt to expand its distribution network, it’s likely that this decision will pay off. So I think that this could be a good dividend growth stock. Utz Brands Can Increase Its Dividend Payout But Is Also Investing in Growth Over the last five years, Utz has increased its quarterly dividend from around $0.05 per share to $0.063 per share, so it’s a dividend growth stock. The company has also paid out a few special dividends. At its current stock price of $9.70, an annu...
