Luis Alvarez Teladoc Health ( TDOC ) is expected to see a 0.8% Y/Y drop in its fourth-quarter revenue, scheduled to be released on February 25 after market close. The consensus EPS estimate is -$0.22, while revenue is expected to be around $635.33M. The company had guided 2025 consolidated revenue of $2.510 billion to $2.539 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $270 million to $287 million in the previous quarter. Free cash flow is expected in the range of $170 million to $185 million, it added. The management projected the Integrated Care segment revenue to rise 2.4% to 3.5%, while it sees BetterHelp revenue narrowing, expecting a decline in the range of 8% to 9.2%. The company anticipated $12 million to $14 million in 2025 insurance revenue for BetterHelp and updated segment adjusted EBITDA margin guidance to 3.8% to 4.6%. Teladoc cited persistent headwinds in the U.S. BetterHelp cash-pay segment, coupled with macroeconomic uncertainty and intensifying competition, particularly from insurance-backed providers. It also flagged potential risks due to tariffs, expecting a $3 million hit to adjusted EBITDA. Seeking Alpha analyst Stephen Ayers expects TDOC’s 2026 revenue guidance to be at least flat, with free cash flow margin meaningfully above ~5%. “For its BetterHelp segment, users, and revenues need to stabilize, and segment profitability needs to increase. Its Integrated Care unit needs to see monetization improvement. And investors need to be assured that there is a clear path for capital structure and cash durability into 2027,” Ayers said. MSFT fell to $359.84 during Liberation Day and rebounded 54.36% ($195.61) to $555.45, making new all-time highs in 2025. Since then, MSFT has been caught in a bear market as the narrative around OpenAI ( OPENAI ), remaining performance obligations (RPOs), and cloud growth have caused shares to fall -28.49% (-$158.22). There is a growing contingency of investors questioning whether or not MSFT and the other hyperscalers should be allocating such large amounts of capital towards their CapEx allocations. The market is punishing MSFT for increased levels of spending on data centers despite their commercial bookings growing. I believe that investors are getting a belated Christmas gift here, as MSFT is trading at some of the lowest valuations I have seen in many years. I think that the market is mispricing shares of MSFT and the fears about their CapEx are overblown. I have been adding to my position and I believe that there is a lot of value to be unlocked at these levels, as MSFT has a gigantic moat around its business that is being overlooked. Seeking Alpha Following up on my previous article about Microsoft I recently became a shareholder of MSFT and started covering them in December. Since my first article was published on MSFT ( can be read here ), shares have declined by -18.08% while the S&P 500 has increased by 0.50%. I discussed how I felt MSFT offered a compelling long-term opportunity and I guess I was early because shares have just continued to retrace. MSFT’s aggressive CapEx strategy has fueled robust revenue and cash flow growth which I felt was a strong benefit for shareholders. I am following up with a new article to discuss why I feel that the negative narrative is incorrect and there is a lot of value to be unlocked in the current share price for MSFT. SimoneN/iStock via Getty Images Copper futures jumped more than 2% toward $13,200/ton on the London Metal Exchange on Tuesday, as China’s markets reopened after the extended Lunar New Year holiday and traders were optimistic about the potential of lower U.S. tariffs. China and India, among the countries that had been hit hardest by the tariffs, emerged as the biggest winners from the Supreme Court's decision to strike down Trump's reciprocal levies. Under the new trade framework, if it is confirmed, Morgan Stanley estimated the average U.S. tariff on goods from China would drop to 24% from 32%. Higher recent physical prices for copper have raised concerns that top consumer China could curb purchases, causing exchange-tracked inventories to rise to their highest levels since 2024, and copper stockpiles in both London and New York have been rising. BrianAJackson/iStock via Getty Images There are few stocks on this website that have a longer history of negative sentiment than Midland States Bancorp ( MSBI ). Dating all the way back to March of 2024, the last six articles published about the Illinois-based bank holding company have recommended selling the stock. Until recently, this assessment has been largely on target. From the start of 2024 through mid-November of last year, MSBI lost about 45% of its value. However, from November 17 through today, the stock has risen over 54%. In addition to the recent gains, what has caught my attention this week was a press release from February 3 that stated that a private equity firm, Patriot Financial Partners, had taken a position in MSBI. As a result, a partner at the firm has been added to the Midland States Board of Directors. These actions show that Patriot Financial sees new potential in the company that could lead to further price appreciation down the road. MSBI’s most recent quarterly report still shows a number of the issues that have caused such pessimism from other analysts in the past. There is hope that the company attempted to flush most of its major concerns away with several actions taken last year, but Midland States is not out of the woods yet. Based on these actions and the potential for further improvement down the road, I consider the stock to be a cautious Hold that is worth watching for future progress later this year. Company Overview Midland States Bancorp operates three subsidiaries —Midland State Bank, Midland Trust Company, and Midland Wealth Advisors. Its banking division offers personal and commercial banking services in both Illinois and Missouri. Its largest footprint is in its home state, where it controls 48 of its 60 total bank branches . As of February 22, MSBI had a market cap just over $500 million. As part of its Q4 2025 financial report, the company stated control of $6.7 billion in total assets, a number that has been in steady ...

Lanier/iStock Unreleased via Getty Images XOM stock: FQ4 earnings report and geopolitical uncertainties I last covered Exxon Mobil Corporation ( XOM ) on Jan 14 with an article titled “Exxon Mobil: A Solid Hold Even If Venezuela Is Uninvestable”. The article focuses on the oil market uncertainties in Venezuela and argues for a hold rating even assuming the worst-case scenario there. Since then, a few new catalysts have emerged around both the oil industry as a whole and also around XOM’s specific operations. The rest of this article will concentrate on the top change in each bucket as I see: the latest geopolitical events that could impact oil’s risk premium and also XOM’s recent Q4 earnings report (ER) released Jan 30. After examining these developments, I believe investors should start preparing for a scenario with much higher oil prices (say $90 per barrel) and the impact on XOM’s profit potential. Let me start with the ER for FQ4 2025. As one of the most discussed oil stocks on the Seeking Alpha site, the ER has been thoroughly examined by many other authors since its release. Thus, I will skip most of the details and just focus on a few things less talked about thus far. First, as you can see from the following screenshot, the company has suffered an overall decline in its topline in recent years. In my experience, Wall Street hates companies with declining top lines. To make things even worse, the company has also suffered EPS declines in the past few years. With the FQ4 ER, the annual EPS for 2025 totaled $6.99, a decline of about 10% from 2024’s EPS of $7.79. I will elaborate more on the implications of these changes on its valuation in a later section. Seeking Alpha Near-term catalysts that can drive up oil prices The above profit decline is the result of production uncertainties and also challenging oil prices (and natural gas too, to a large degree) in my view. To wit, crude oil price has been on a downward trend since it peaked at around $120 in early 20...

Former Norway PM Attempts Suicide After Epstein-Linked Raid, Corruption Charges: Report Norway's former Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland was hospitalized a week ago after a failed suicide attempt , days after he was charged with " gross corruption " after a police probe into his ties with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, local outlet iNyheter reports . Thorbjorn Jagland, a former prime minister of Norway, in Oslo February 12th. Jagland, 75, who gave Barack Obama a Nobel peace price less than nine months into his presidency, was charged on February 12 after police carried out an extensive search of his properties - including apartments in Oslo and in Risør. It was revoked one day before the raids took place. In the letter, Økokrim says that Jagland and his immediate family used Epstein's private apartments in Paris and New York multiple times between 2011 and 2018, and stayed at Epstein's villa in Palm Beach, Florida - with travel being likely covered by Epstein in connection with one of the stays. Epstein also reportedly paid for travel and hotel costs for Jagland and five other adults in the Caribbean, and reportedly asked Epstein for a loan , though it's unclear whether that was actually made. If convicted, and he doesn't successfully kill himself, Jagland faces up to a decade in prison if convicted. In one 2018 email exchange, Epstein wrote to Jagland suggesting that "I think you might suggest to Putin, that Lavrov, can get insight on talking to me." Jagland served as Norway's Prime Minister from 1996 ...
