narkorn/iStock via Getty Images Daktronics ( DAKT ) is coming off of an analyst day in April that laid out a clear set of targets after a mixed start to the year. The company had a great fiscal first and second quarter, which led to upside for the stock, but the fiscal Q3 report in March sent shares tumbling, with the stock now nearly 27% off the highs. The company remains focused on organic growth, new verticals to expand into, better commercialization, and international growth in the years ahead. This creates a playbook for the company to deliver on its algorithm, and with the stock trading at a decent free cash flow yield, I see compelling upside for this name going into the end-of-year report. Business Profile Daktronics is a leading designer and manufacturer of electronic scoreboards, programmable display systems, and large screen video displays for sporting, commercial, and transportation applications. The company has a full offering, from the product and software engineering and manufacturing of the displays to project delivery to aftermarket services. The company has a leading market share position in some of the best known sports leagues, like 53% of all major league sports, 57% of minor league baseball, and 69% of college sports. The company's revenue mix is approximately 89% product & installation and 11% aftermarket services & software. The company's end market exposure is approximately 37% live events, 23% commercial, 22% high school, park and recreation, 10% international, and 9% transportation. The company has over 40,000 video installations worldwide. The company operates 6 manufacturing sites, primarily in the US but one in Ireland and one in China, and has its headquarters in Brookings, South Dakota. The company just held an analyst day in early April, and the strategy is moving towards expanding into new market verticals. About 20% of the company's CY2025 revenue came from new markets, primarily from indoor high-resolution video screens. With this...

The good news, if you're thinking about investing in Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) , is that it's still possible to find plenty of sky-high price forecasts for the year 2030. The growing consensus is that Ethereum could hit $10,000 by then, and some think that it might skyrocket as high as $55,000. Unfortunately, crypto investors likely need to curb their expectations. I'm predicting that Ethereum will hit a price of $5,000 by 2030, and here's why. One of the more interesting investment theses that has emerged in 2026 is the notion that cryptocurrencies built on top of open-source software should be valued just like software stocks . If so, that means investors should no longer expect Ethereum to grow at the same rate it has for the past decade. Continue reading

Updates from the second game in Brisbane Kick-off at Suncorp Stadium is 7.45pm AEST Any thoughts? Get in touch with an email There’s a bit of rain around at Suncorp, but Maroons captain Tamika Upton says her team is prepared for the conditions. The Blues have warned Upton they will be testing her under the high ball with plenty of bombs to be put up throughout this game. The wet conditions will make that even more challenging, but Upton is a quality player who won’t be intimidated by this game plan. If you want a refresher on Game 1 before we get underway tonight, you’re in luck! Jack Snape’s match report will take you right back to that fateful night in Newcastle just two short weeks ago. ariya j/iStock via Getty Images There are two selling strategies when stocks go parabolic. The first is to try to sell at the top (very hard). The second is to ride it up and over the top, then get out on the eventual rebound rally. This is the scariest strategy. You don't get out at the top but you also don't get out early so you experience the full extent of the move. Let's look this over. (I ho...

The second is to ride it up and over the top, then get out on the eventual rebound rally. This is the scariest strategy. You don't get out at the top but you also don't get out early so you experience the full extent of the move. Let's look this over. (I hope this information can help investors prepare for the psychological and risks that bubbles present). The Second Selling Opportunity Few people know that after the top of most price bubbles, there’s usually a strong rebound rally that gives you a second opportunity to get out at an acceptable price. I'll show three examples of it – the 1929 cash, the 2000 dotcom bubble and the gold bubble of the late 1970s. The 1929 Crash Below is a chart of the 1929 crash. The crash day was on Black Monday, October 28th 1929. The real price low occurred 2 1/2 years later when they closed the banks in the summer of 1932. The 1929 Market Crash (Sentiment King) Notice the 50% rally following Black Monday. Prices recovered (red arrow) to what I think would have been an acceptable selling price to any investor at the time considering what followed. It wasn't at the top but I think it would have been acceptable. (By the way I have my own crash story. I was the lead announcer on KWHY, the stock market TV station in Los Angeles, the day the market crashed 22% in 1987. Talk about scary. But that's a story for another day). The Gold Bubble of 1975-1980 During the late 1970s, gold and silver became very popular because of continuous double digit inflation. Precious metals went into a price bubble over five years that culminated in the bankruptcy of the Hunt brothers who had over margined silver. Below is a chart of the 1970s gold bubble. The 1979 Gold Bubble (The Sentiment King) Notice a similar parabolic move, followed by a sharp selloff then a subsequent two wave, 60% recovery rally of the decline ...
