The summit was touted as a win by Trump, who said that “a lot of good” came from it and the two countries “settled a lot of different problems that other people wouldn’t have been able to solve.” “We’ve made some fantastic trade deals for both countries,” Trump said. Trump previously told Fox News that China agreed to buy U.S. oil and purchase 200 Boeing ( BA ) airplanes. Sitting beside Xi Jinping at the Zhongnanhai leadership compound in Beijing, Trump said his relationship with his Chinese counterpart was “a very strong one.” “We did discuss Iran. We feel very similar about [how] we want it to end. We don’t want them to have a nuclear weapon. We want the strait open,” Trump said, adding that “we want them to get it ended because it’s a crazy thing there.” More on Seeking Alpha Hope Is Not A Strategy: Positioning For The Reality Of Oil Scarcity The Job Market Has Only Gotten Worse Since Trump's 'Liberation Day' AAII Sentiment Survey: Neutral Sentiment Drops Putin to visit Beijing on May 20, just days after Trump-Xi summit concludes, SCMP says Asian markets retreat after Xi warns Trump of potential U.S.-China 'clashes'

Dilok Klaisataporn/iStock via Getty Images U.S. President Donald Trump wrapped up his visit to China on Friday without securing major breakthroughs on trade or Iran, though both sides signaled interest in keeping economic ties stable and expanding energy cooperation. Trade truce, oil, and Boeing in focus Trump said China was discussing purchases of 200 Boeing ( BA ) aircraft and potentially more U.S. oil as part of broader economic talks between the two countries, according to media reports. The two sides also discussed maintaining last year’s trade truce, under which Washington lowered tariffs in exchange for continued Chinese rare earth exports, though no decision was announced on extending the arrangement beyond later this year. Taiwan warnings and restrained diplomacy The summit featured military pageantry, formal banquets, and meetings at Zhongnanhai, while Chinese officials reiterated Beijing’s red lines on Taiwan, warning that mishandling the issue could lead to conflict. Trump, unusually restrained throughout the trip, repeatedly praised Chinese President Xi Jinping and described the visit in glowing terms. “It’s been an incredible visit. I think a lot of good has come of it,” Trump said during his final meeting with the Chinese leader, according to a Reuters report. Iran and chips see little movement On Iran, Trump said the two leaders had discussed the conflict and shared similar views. “We discussed Iran, and we feel very similar,” he said after talks with Xi. Chinese officials, however, stopped short of offering any explicit commitment to pressure Tehran, instead repeating calls for de-escalation and a negotiated settlement. There was also no sign of progress on advanced semiconductor exports. Despite expectations ahead of the summit, the two sides did not announce any breakthrough on sales of Nvidia’s H200 AI chips to China. Markets left underwhelmed Investors appeared underwhelmed by the outcomes. Boeing ( BA ) shares fell after reports that the propos...

Back in 2014, the X user " cprkrn ," who did not identify himself, explained that he had a crypto wallet on an old computer, got stoned one night, changed the password, and forgot it. He tried trillions of password guesses over the years with no luck. "I tried like 7 trillion passwords lmfao. Found this old pneumonic a few weeks ago that ended up being the old password before I changed it. Thought I was screwed. Last-ditch effort dumped my whole college computer into Claude," cprkrn said. He noted, "It found an OLD wallet file that the pneumonic successfully decrypted. Locked out 11+ years because I got stoned and changed the password."
