Just_Super The Pentagon has asked two major defense contractors on Wednesday to provide an assessment of their reliance on Anthropic's ( ANTHRO ) AI model, Claude — a first step toward a potential designation of Anthropic as a " supply chain risk ," Axios reported. The Pentagon reached out to Boeing ( BA ) and Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) on Wednesday to ask about their exposure to Anthropic, the report said. Boeing Defense, Space & Security, a division of Boeing ( BA ), has no active contracts with Anthropic, a spokesperson told Axios . While a Lockheed spokesperson confirmed the company was contacted by the Defense Department regarding an analysis of its exposure and reliance on Anthropic ahead of "a potential supply chain risk declaration." The Pentagon plans to reach out to "all the traditional primes" — meaning the major contractors that supply things like fighter jets and weapons systems — about whether and how they use Claude, the report said. Separately, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is said to have given Anthropic ( ANTHRO ) a Friday deadline to remove safeguards from its artificial intelligence models used by the Pentagon. Amazon-backed ( AMZN ) Anthropic Claude is the first and only AI model being used for classified operations by the Pentagon. bizoo_n/iStock Editorial via Getty Images By Ezequiel Gomes Ethereum ( ETH-USD ) climbed sharply this Wednesday, February 25, recovering above $2,000 after a bruising prior session as crypto prices stabilized with a broader improvement in market tone. Ethereum’s bounce resets the near-term test Ether’s rebound was notable because it followed a session in which sellers had pushed the market back toward nearby support. By midday Wednesday, the token had reclaimed the $2,000 handle and was trading roughly 11% above its previous close. The day’s range also captured how unstable the market still is. Trading between about $1,847 and $2,066 in a single session is the kind of move that usually signals aggressive repositioning, not a calm return of trend-following demand. ETH price dynamics (January 2025-February 2026) (Source: TradingView) Steadier market tone helps ease pressure The rebound in crypto came as broader risk appetite steadied after a volatile stretch in equities. U.S. stock futures pointed higher on Wednesday, which gave traders a less defensive backdrop than the one that had pressured speculative assets earlier in the week. The dollar was not adding much extra pressure, but it also was not offering much relief. The dollar index remained close to the upper-97 area, leaving the macro picture more neutral than supportive and reinforcing the idea that crypto’s bounce was a tradable recovery in sentiment, not a clean macro tailwind. Fund flows still point to caution Even with Wednesday’s jump, the flow picture still argues for caution. CoinShares said digital asset investment products posted $288 million in net outflows in the latest week, extending the recent run of withdrawals and showing that institutions have not yet moved back into the sector in size. Ethereum-specific flows were also soft in that report. CoinShares said Ether accounted for $36.5 million of those outflows, which helps explain why rebounds in the token have recently looked more tactical than c...

Many of the signatories, including ByteDance Ltd.’s Hongguo Short Drama, Kuaishou Technology and major streaming services such as iQiyi Inc., Tencent Video and Bilibili Inc., reposted the self-discipline convention on their official WeChat accounts Wednesday, in a show of their commitments to the industry pledge. The agreement, orchestrated by the China Netcasting Services Association (CNSA), seeks to regulate a high-growth sector that has faced increasing scrutiny for operating like a sweatshop.
